⇑ PLAY ME ⇑
Over the past few weeks, I’ve been craving the peace of mind that is derived from spending time in the great outdoors.
Seeing as i’m more indoorsy (is that an actual word? Because it should be) than outdoorsy, my yearning to “go outside” doesn’t involve hiking or camping, and is more about relaxing in vast fields, where I can lay down on a blanket – accompanied by a good book, letting the sun gently caress my skin – while my favorite tunes play in the background.
This fantasy – currently airing exclusively in mind, combines photogenic sunny scenes of suburban America in the 70’s, as pictured in “The virgin Suicides” (one of my all time faves – despite its morbid aspect), combined with the magic of endless lavender fields and the enchanting Provence scenery, as pictured in the super sweet French film (which I saw last week) – “The Sense of Wonder”.
Seeing as my personal style steers quite far from your average flower child, I wanted to find my own classic way of pulling off the ever so popular Boho trend, in a manner that doesn’t involve me feeling like it’s a Halloween party and I’ve arrived at a party, dressed up as a hippie. I scooped these denim elephant pants from ASOS a while ago, and have pretty much been living in them over the past few weeks. I paired the wide legged jeans with a simple, over-sized white tank and a long, boho-ish necklace. I allowed myself to skip wearing a bra (silicone pasties on my nips kept me decent-ish and held the shirt in place), because this fantasy of mine is all about freedom – after-all, and anyway – if Kim K can leave her bra behind, so can I ;-)
Have a dreamy week!
